Meet the people growing your food, learn about local farms

 Join FIT educators in-person or virtually for a tour of the farmer market. Start with a fun intro to the market with our farmer market manager, meet the growers and makers who feed us, and experience a seasonal sensory tasting. Exploring the farmers market builds connections with the people who grow our food, shows a local economy in action, and inspires us to try new things. 

 FIT educators will visit your classroom, school, or special event for in-person or virtually to deliver a customized lesson for your grade level and curriculum goals. We cover topics such as how food is grown, seasonality, carbon footprints, and how shopping at a farmers market is different from a grocery store. Book using the form at the end of this page. 

  Take a field trip to a local farm where you will meet a farmer-educator who will provide hands-on learning experiences. See a working farm in action, taste foods growing in the fields, and learn more about how farms and ranches integrate into the natural environment by providing habitat and carbon sequestration.
